It's weird because it's not like I'm usually opposed to popular ships or anything. I'm just as likely to ship the juggernaut as I am rare pairs. And there's nothing particularly offensive about this ship that I can pinpoint, I just... don't want it. I really want in on all that fandom fun, I'm spoilt from previous fandoms.

I get that, yeah. Sometimes a particular pairing just doesn't click for you. I know in my case some pairings that I couldn't quite get behind, it's mainly because I love the characters' interactions in every other respect (they're awesome friends, they've got a great familial sort of bond, I love them as co-workers, etc.), but when it comes to them being romantically involved, I just can't see it. And I've yet to find stories that make a relationship between them believable to me.

I also understand the frustration of liking a pairing that doesn't get as much attention as the juggernaut one, and having a hard time finding good fic for it. Even if I also ship the popular pairing alongside the less popular one, it's still frustrating if I'm looking for really good stories about the less popular pairing, and the fics that are there about them are...not...good. I usually write my own stories in those instances, sure, but still...
