I'm so poor and while other people have legit reasons for their poverty, the reason I'm poor is because I'm a terrible adult. I have no idea how to time anything so I'm waiting to hear back about a better paying job and terribly confused about what I should do in the meantime. I'm trying not to panic but even if I get this job, it'll be March or April before I start and in the meantime, I will be unemployed unless I can find something quick.

Is there any seasonal work being offered anywhere that you could do in the meantime? That way if you do get this job, at least you're covered with something temporary until March/April, and if you don't, then you have something to do for the time being while you look for something else.

I hope you do get that job you're waiting to hear back on!

Seconding what the person above has said: also, even if you can't find a temp position for the holiday rush, you may be able to find one in January when a lot of stores hire extra help for inventory.

Good luck with the job hunt...and also with the adulting.
