In what precise ways is the proportional representation system better in Europe? Like, how does it lead to better outcomes?

Like, I mean, I'm honestly asking, because it seems to me there's plenty of problems with democracy in Europe right now.

Well the problem with democracy in Europe is a lot of fringe groups have gotten into parliaments, but not power, and are unhappy yhat they cannot force everyone to do what they want even though they get a chance to air their views in public and take part in consensus politics and are refusing to partake in the latter because consensus is against them. So the problem with democracy in Europe is that it is working, and the right-wing fringe groups are unhappy about it. Unlike, say the US or UK, where the right-wing fringe groups are in power and able to get their way despite still being the minority view.
