By what definition? All the ones I've seen literally define it as "expressing sympathy" or some such. There is no added qualifier of needing shared experience.

The male gyns I've met treat me like an individual, but the female ones have without exception treated me like a run-of-the-mill piece of meat. That covers explaining procedures and pre-warnings, pain medication and general humanity. My female gyns have been rough, unsympathetic and rolling their eyes if I dared ask about stuff they obviously thought every woman should have known already. Or maybe I have a female gyn-provoking pussy, what do I know.
