(Anonymous) 2015-12-15 12:16 am (UTC)(link)I guess I can understand the other way around more (as in the posts going "If you feel uncomfortable with an adult following you, tell me" etc.), but most people don't follow by accident? Even teenagers.
We all lied when the "Are you 18" question came up when it came to smut and even looked for those. Why wouldn't teenagers nowadays not do the same?

(Anonymous) 2015-12-15 01:12 am (UTC)(link)Like if it's a porn blog or something I'd understand. But they're almost always just normal
fandom blogs.
Like, do they really think teens are that delicate and sensitive? As someone who's recently been a teen, lmao we aren't.

(Anonymous) 2015-12-15 01:29 am (UTC)(link)Maybe it's because I've been active in fandom and lying about being an adult since I was 10, but it's just so ridiculous to me.
If a teenager can't handle the thought of an adult following their totally public tumblr, they shouldn't be using tumblr in the first place. And if it's too frightening to find out you've followed the blog of an adult, then don't follow random fucking blogs. Either be part of the wider grown-up internet world, or confine yourself to shit like Neopets. You don't get to have it both ways.
