Ugh, Felicia Day is going to be in it? Any interest I may have had in watching this reboot has officially gone out the window. After the whole Gamergate bullshit and how she said she's 'scared of gamers' now just makes me hate her with a passion. I used to like her, too.

Gamergate is a massively feminist movement, and I mean actual feminism, not this radfem Sarkeesian bullshit. It's given voice to women in the gaming industry, supported female-run projects, encourages girls to enter STEM fields, all without blasting men in those positions.

Plus, the movement is centered around wanting accountability for journalists. But because it's about gaming journalism, people think of it as petty and small and thus able to be mocked and slandered. Never mind that journalistic corruption in ANY form is dangerous to a culture, because it shows that people who are supposed to present facts are so easily swayed.
