Re: Do you like fanfic or fanart more?

I like both equally. Although, I do think it takes more skill to draw a decent picture than it takes to write a decent story.

Like, for example, you have Generic Hot Guy. It's a lot easier to describe how his muscles ripple or his hair shines with words. Now, when you have to apply all the technical things drawing comes with (anatomy, color, shading, lighting, perspective, etc.) that takes a bit more skill to pull off properly.

Don't get me wrong, I LOVE drawing and writing, and writing does take some skill to pull of decently, it just that drawing takes a little more skill.

I don't know if I agree.

There's more to writing a fanfic than describing someone's massive hotness. If we're talking about coming up with good plots and writing that SHOWS how awesome Generic Hot Guy is instead of reminding us than I'd say writing is equally difficult as drawing.

There's even more in describing someone's massive hotness than using a few stock phrases, which is the usual thing.
