Animorphs was my first actual fandom, and Harry Potter was my first online one.

Animorphs was my first online fandom. I spent a lot time on the official website.

My friend and I were kind of obsessive about that series - talked about it all the time, wrote self-insert fanfic, even quizzed each other on the most random details like spine color and those taglines on the front and inside covers (memorizing that stuff was a lot easier back when there were only twenty or so books...)

Oh man, you want obsessive? In first grade I had this ongoing mental narrative that I and a bunch of my classmates were all Yeerks. I gave everyone Yeerk names and everything, but I didn't, y'know, run any of this by them beforehand or tell them what I was doing at any point, because that would be silly. So basically I called my classmates by weird number names and implied we were working together on secret missions and they had no idea why.
