I don't associate it with erasing gay from slash, I associate it with repulsive misogynists who have sissification fetishes and consider femaleness to be a kind of punishment.

Yes, far be it for anyone to just have fun. You do know this thing that us humans call "fun"?

(Anonymous) 2015-12-19 10:45 pm (UTC)(link)
I like fun, but could it please not be at women's expense? Thanks.

Well the great thing about fiction is that it allows fun at anyone's expense and because itis fiction it doesn't matter as long as the people who ejoyed it had fun doing so. If you don't like it, ya don't have to read it. Unless Mistress makes you, slut.

And it's at women's expense...how exactly?

I think that fiction that includes creepy shit presented as the right is a very good warning about the author. If they are not aloud to say it, you are surprised when they do it.

???

I don't understand what you're saying. Is this a real world problem? Thank goodness we're able to tell which authors would gender-bend us if given the chance.

I've never seen that, but I have seen female writers turning one of a popular m/m pair into a woman so they don't have to write slash, ew.

It definitely exists, but it's not that common. I stumbled upon it by accident after lots of favourite-hopping on deviantart, and that's after almost two decades of fandom.
