That still counts though, so... good job, keep it up?

I think most people's sexuality contains some component that they like to enjoy in fantasy, but not real life. That's perfectly normal. For me it's non-con, for others it might be knotting or whatever. Apparently for you it's girls. You're not hurting anyone.

Well, how do you define crush, though?

And how many men did you effectively fall in love with in real life?

I mean, i see both scenario's being possible here: you experiencing fictional crushes differently that r/l ones and not being effectively bisexual in a r/l setting - or, you being bi but just not happening to crush on someone real so far (the younger you are, and the less partners you had, the more likely that is).

Agreed. The second one was very much me for a while when I first realized I was bisexual. Then I had my first RL crush on a woman.

That doesn't mean you aren't bi. You can be bi with a het preference and still be bi. Besides, it's pretty hard to find queer women to crush on sometimes. If you don't live in the right places, it's nothing but straight ladies who aren't into you.

It's also possible that your type of woman isn't someone you'd usually meet on the streets (like a super spy or something) if so, then maybe date a cosplayer? :P

Maybe you haven't found the “right" RL lady to crush on? Doesn't have to mean anything.

(Anonymous) 2015-12-24 06:25 am (UTC)(link)
This. For years my fictional lady crushes were all on fictional women... until I met one of my friends and WHOOPS, suddenly a crush.

It can hit you like a truck when you least expect it, lol.

Not exactly what you're referring to, or maybe what you were even getting at, but that makes me think of the "you're not actually into ___ until you've had sex with them" kind of argument against folk who are exploring or already set in their sexuality. Whatevs, OP.

Meh. My own taste in fictional characters, if it can really be called that, is pretty much not in line with the people in meatspace that I immediately go for. For instance, if I measured my type and sexuality going by fiction, it would have people thinking I'm thirsty for all the dick, with a nice helping of older villainesses. In real life though, yeah I'm still thirsty for D, but mostly the V of the not-about-to-completely-murder-me kind.

Well all my dark haired crushes have been fictional but I don't think that means I'm not attracted IRL...

(Anonymous) 2015-12-24 04:32 pm (UTC)(link)
You can still be bi and not have a relationship with another woman IRL. It's what you are, not what you act on. You're still good.

(Anonymous) 2015-12-24 09:12 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm kind of similar, but on the opposite side. I'm bisexual but I recently realized my male crushes are pretty much all fictional.

But you know what you can still be bi. Nothing wrong with that.
