Not exactly what you're referring to, or maybe what you were even getting at, but that makes me think of the "you're not actually into ___ until you've had sex with them" kind of argument against folk who are exploring or already set in their sexuality. Whatevs, OP.

Meh. My own taste in fictional characters, if it can really be called that, is pretty much not in line with the people in meatspace that I immediately go for. For instance, if I measured my type and sexuality going by fiction, it would have people thinking I'm thirsty for all the dick, with a nice helping of older villainesses. In real life though, yeah I'm still thirsty for D, but mostly the V of the not-about-to-completely-murder-me kind.
