Don't be like the lit fic snobs telling people what they "should" like & read. Don't you have things you go for to escape RL & find comfort? If not, why are you on this site?

Read a book is not being a lit snob. The book could be the pulpest pulp to ever pulp or a romance novel with a bodice ripper cover as long as it's original and hasn't been pre-digested for the reader.

Dare to live.

Yes, you are.

By saying that books are inherently superior, you are being a snob.

I dunno. Is it snobby to think people should at least attempt to read things outside of one type of medium?

It's like if someone said there were no good comics or graphic novels or manga without having ever read any, and refusing to take any sort of recommendations because it's 'stupid'.

Or people who don't read fanfic because it's 'not real writing'.

Where does the secret say that books are inherently superior? Hint: nowhere, this is you being way defensive.

Go fuck yourself. Having taste and using one's brain are not handicaps.

Who said they were handicaps?
