Re: Nostalgia Games

I used to play Wood Pirates with my brother and neighbors (we were pirates....in the woods). We invented this kind of volleyball/basketball/kickball hybrid game called H ball (because the players stood in an H formation....jesus, we were a very literal-minded bunch, weren't we) that we played in the street. My brother and I played with Legos, Lincoln Logs, Lock Blocks (we called them Block Blocks), and more "play pretend" games than I can remember. We also played Nintendo together -- Super Mario Bros I and III and Metroid were our faves. I also loved this game called World Runner, but my bro gave it away to his friend and that was the end of that.

The neighbor girls and I played Barbies until I was around 12. Like most girls' Barbie games, our scenarios were way more gruesome and lurid than non-Barbie-players could imagine.

I would totally still play Wood Pirates if I still lived near the woods.
