(Anonymous) 2015-12-24 01:46 am (UTC)(link)Now, to give you an answer: Assuming that when you say gender you actually mean gender, then yes. I would consider all trans people to be the gender they say they are, regardless of whether they have transitioned.
If when you say gender what you mean is sex, then... I'm not sure, to be honest. Genetically, their chromosomes would stay the same; there's no way to change that. But do chromosomes really matter that much? If someone's been taking female hormones for years and has female genitals but their chromosomes are XY, would you say their sex is still male? I'm not sure. It's a weird question, and I don't think I'm knowledgeable enough to give a proper answer to it.
