I agree with you OP. the therapist I was legally required to see (oh USA, so progressive) keeps trying to get me to meet up with "trans" people and relate to them, I have about as much in common with another "trans" person as someone with psoriasis would have with someone else with psoriasis. it's not a part of my identity and never will be, it's a medical problem I got treatment for. I will never understand people who willingly hold onto this label, but that's just me.
