If a writer deletes their fics and then comes back and posts more, I can never bring myself to go back to them and read them again.

I respect their right to delete - in one case, a writer I loved was in a custody battle with their ex who would have used the fic in court as a way of showing the other was an unfit parent, and it wasn't worth the risk. So I support the right to delete. I can just never trust that writer again or enjoy their fics knowing they may be pulled at any time.
