Re: Raise your hand if you tried Turkish delight because of this book.

My dad bought me the books as a child and had some really nice, special Turkish delight on hand for when I got to that part of the books. He let me have some and we discussed the symbolism/metaphorical meaning behind the Turkish delights.

I do love them, but that was kind of a formative experience, eating them with my dad and discussing all this really heavy stuff at a very young age, so whenever I eat them now (which is pretty rarely) I have this weird edge of... tension, I guess. *shrugs*
