Speaking for myself, not really. There is always the chance of getting doxxed or stalked, but that has little to do with gender.

I'm the sort of person who likes to get into long discussions with people on forums with no or poor moderating. No one has ever tried to continue an argument outside of the original thread.

I would compare my internet experience to a busy city street of sometimes questionable sanitation with many interesting shops, street vendors who try to sell you some dubious wares, the occasional person ranting to their phone or the street in general, extremely earnest young people wanting you to sign petitions, and signs warning about pickpockets.
