Re: New Years Resolutions!

Not that I believe in resolutions, but I hope to procrastinate less and learn to apologize more effectively in the new year. And just work on better communication in general, as usual.

I only got around to watching this last year, and I must say... Most the romances didn't do much for me. I liked the movie itself, but the Rick Grimes thing seemed skeevy and completely pointless (she's married to your BFF, why are you confessing your love to her?!), and although I almost swooned at Colin Firth's last scene, that relationship didn't get enough attention (And seemed to be progressing too fast for me) for me to be completely convinced or invested. I thought Neeson and his son had the best storyline, and I really enjoyed the conclusion to this one too. It was the sweetest one.

I read them as gay. I would say they were the best love interest but the singer guy was genuinely a dick to the other the entire film.

Awwwwww. Don't be disappointed.

Tons of people are attracted to personality types, unfortunately for some people a lifetime of depression is a direct result of having a certain personality type.

You might be coincidentally attracted to people prone to being depressed.

I resolve to fuck more bitches.

Man, to each their own, but that sounds exhausting to me. I tend to get depressed and anxious, so the idea of being with somebody like me all the time makes me want to ESCAPE.

AYRT

Oh yes, definitely. I'm not even American and Trump scares me. I don't know if he genuinely believes all the horrible things he says about Muslims and Mexicans or if he's just saying that shit to get the support of the people who DO believe it, but either way it's horrible on so many levels.

I don't think the story itself is "Japanese", even if the characters happen to be. I think the plot is very universal and could work in most settings.

It even worked in a "The Simpsons"'s parody - http://i.imgur.com/pgj4vp2.jpg

+1 for Xena!

I actually had a dream about that episode a few nights ago, though I haven't watched it in a couple years.

Normally I'm just not interested, but throw in some formality and I'm in. Fondue parties especially hook me.

Weight. Weight will ALWAYS be a thing to hate others for.

I think it's a combination of the entitlement complex, and how easy it is to spread misinformation and bullshit because you only see a tiny fraction of the conversation. Corrections and retractions and dissent get lost in the reblogs, and if a post blows up, nothing short of deleting your account will stop the flood of dogpiling and abuse.

Re: Weekend Plans (for those lucky 3 day weekend people)

[personal profile] aenrhien 2016-01-01 01:18 am (UTC)(link)
I'm hanging out with my sister in law tonight since my brother's sick, and that pretty much means sitting here watching her play Fallout 4. The rest of the weekend will be spent getting used to my binder and writing.

Who are your favorites? What actresses would you like to see in a specific type of role? Scenarios or adaptations you'd like to see?

I've been levelling my frost DK so that will probably get played and I've got Undertale to go through as well which I'm looking forward to.

Re: Saw Star Wars today

[personal profile] elaminator 2016-01-01 01:21 am (UTC)(link)
Leia was fantastic; I loved her spunk and intelligence and how well she could handle herself. I find it disappointing that all people remember in that bikini scene is how hot she looked when she killed Jabba herself. That was badass.

Padme in the prequels was also a really nice character (despite the problems with the films) and I appreciated her more on rewatch. Especially in TPM.

I can't say I'm not glad to have a Star Wars film with a female lead, but I agree, it isn't a competition, it's just... Well, nice. I adored Leia as a kid, but I'm glad kids these days have a hero like Rey.

some hardcore substance right there...

Christ you are just so ready to jump down someone's throat for shit they didn't say. Chill out.
