As long as Hawkeye and Mustang get together, I'm all for it. I watched the ending of Brotherhood for the first time just before Christmas, and was gutted when there was no resolution. :'(

It's called army regulations on fraternization. They can't get together without betraying what they believe in.

Yeah, but I'm a hopeless romantic. After all the shit they went through together, they deserved a happy ending. I think they repaid their debts for what happened in Ishval with their actions up to, and on, the Promised Day.

Besides, I thought the fraternization rules were to stop favoritism and caring more about people over the mission? Half of the people under his command shouldn't have been there if that was the case. Maes Hughes especially.

Hughes wasn't officially under his command. He was in Intelligence. He was just reporting to Mustang anyway because they were trying to take over/reform the country.
likeadeuce: i would like to say i'm riza at work, but I'm more like Roy. 'plotting extracurriculars! cookies for breakfast!' (mustang work day)

Ehh, I think a resolution on that relationship could have been written if the author wanted it. I like the way it was left tbh!

I also liked the vaugeness.
