I guess I see where you're coming from. People are a lot harsher talking about celebrities than they are talking about people they know, so when you see someone 'insult' someone who you think looks better than you, you wonder what that person isn't saying to your face about your appearance?

Yea, this. I never hear people being overtly rude about appearance IRL, so when I go online and see someone say shocking or harsh things about a celebrities appearance, it throws me off a bit. (Even though at this point I should expect it.)

When I was younger it didn't bother me as much, but the older I get the more irritating I find it. Saying, "I don't find this person attractive" is one thing, but the way some people point out every flaw and seem to joyfully go on and on about everything they hate... I try to avoid it.
