Generally... being able to own a home and the ability to travel for pleasure without huge financial impact.

So far everything else in life has varied: I've known very poor people with "nice" cars and opulent things, I've known very rich people with very simple tastes who buy clothes at thrift stores and own mid range cars...

I've never met someone who wasn't wealthy who owned property and could afford to vacation without breaking the bank.
