To OP of all this Sylar crud.

Guess what?

THE SYLAR SECRETS MADE ME STOP WATCHING HEROES.
I WAS ON EPISODE 8.
YOUR SECRETS ARE DOING THE OPPOSITE OF WHAT YOU'D LIKE.
(That and I have better things to do as I wasn't impressed, but I digress. Seeing Sylar makes me rage now.)

Compose all your fantasies in ONE secret like everyone else.

To be blunt, if nine 600x600-pixel images some of which aren't even related to the character can make you hate a compelling villain, the Heroes fandom doesn't need you. I didn't make those secrets to attract attention to the fandom or to Sylar himself. I made them on a whim, which is how I imagine quite a few people make their secrets. It was an ill-advised whim, but it was still just a whim.

Already broke anon once by accident, so not bothering to make this comment anonymous.

It's her decision to stop watching or not and quite honestly, I'd do about the same if I were only a couple of episodes in.

And you're in no position to criticize her because, guess what? What the Heroes fandom really doesn't need are any more retarded self-centered insane bitches like you.

Christ, you'd think at least someone had learned from the [livejournal.com profile] freetheelves2 debacle. Obviously not.

It wasn't my intention to deride or criticize her for her choice, although in hindsight I can see why you might think that.

I was responding to the implication that I would be displeased if these secrets drove people from the fandom. My point is that anyone so easily swayed probably didn't like it very much in the first place, that's all.

Edit: Forgot to respond to the part where you called me a self-centred bitch. In short, you're wrong. Anyone who has known me for longer than a month knows you're wrong. Hell, I don't even have a clue where you got the idea in the first place.

Yeah, I kind of made the OTHER reason obvious in the parenthesis. Selective reading ftw. I was not impressed by Heroes, and if it was in any other medium (especially a comic book), it would be cliche as all hell. So, the only thing that makes it unique is...the choice of media?

"the Heroes fandom doesn't need you" Har! Pretentious is the only word I can sum that up in. Despite watching this comm, I don't participate in fandom. Assuming is the worst thing you can do, as some of us watch this comm for the wank and wait for secrets relevant to our own interests.

I didn't read selectively. I might've failed to catch something, but that's an error, not a form of malice.

So what you're saying is that you stopped watching Heroes because it left you cold? Fine by me. It's not everyone's cup of curare-laced tea. *shrug* By "the Heroes fandom doesn't need you" I meant more that the notional collective of people who like Heroes, whether or not they participate in fandom-community activities, can stand to lose your (presumably minimal) interest in the show.

Well that goes without saying, but most people take text worded that way as "rofl you're below us." Hence unwarranted self importance / pretentiousness is communicated. Yes, the internet is the worst place for debate due to the absence of tone. But it helps to put extra care in wording due to that.

I admit I did a rush job and I'm sorry I came off as rude. Consider it an unwarranted but understandable reaction to the combination of frustration and puzzlement caused by the public response to the secret set.
