Re: Any easily scared people?

I can get spooked pretty easily, too. I do watch horror films and scary TV shows from time to time, but I honestly don't know why sometimes, since some of them leave me curled up in a ball on my couch scared to move afterward. I've definitely done the "dart down the hall" thing after watching something scary.

And when I first saw the original 'Halloween', I honestly considered sleeping with my light on that night, checked every closet and behind every door upstairs (no lie, I really did that), and then the next day, when walking home from school, side-eyed this line of trees in my backyard, just in case someone was peeking out at me.

I've also speed-walked down long, empty hallways. Especially late at night.

So yeah. In short, you are definitely not alone, and you're not lame for being easily scared. Some people are just more sensitive to that stuff than others, and show their fear more easily.

I don't know how easy this would be to do if you're scared of someone hiding in your home (a totally realistic and logical fear, especially in big houses-I'd wonder about that sometimes, too), but if you think checking doors and windows every so often would help you feel a little better, or something of that sort, you could try that. I hope you can find something to help take your mind off your fears!
