I've taken to walking around the downstairs with my phone's flashlight on all the time at night. I have to shine it on the stairs as I walk up them so nothing follows me up. It's better than running up the stairs. I mean, the zombies in the basement haven't eaten me in the last 30 years, but there's always a chance they can pop out you know!!!
