I love this book, but the idea that everybody gets assigned jobs when they're kids scared me when I was younger. I was interested in a lot of things, but there was nothing I could do well and I always hesitated when people asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up because I didn't know. I knew that if I lived in that society I wouldn't be a Jonas because my eyes weren't light.
