I did reorganize my folders recently to rationalize the system and it's a lot cleaner and more useful now.

Yeah I dumped a TON of links from my bookmarks, mostly old webcomics I don't read anymore. TBH I'm not 100% sure why I still use bookmarks.

I mean it's nice to be able to have a place to hang on to links you refer to frequently, or to build lists of different sites and stuff like that. So it's useful in that sense.

It's just that it works best when you're using it for very specific reasons, and not just saving every single thing you come across that's interesting. So instead of just having a bunch of big crappy folders it's now just "here are some restaurants i want to visit, here are some books i want to read, etc".

I could probably use cloud based stuff to accomplish some of that stuff but this is more convenient for me, so.

Yeah, that's true. Some of my remaining bookmarks are reference stuff and I have a couple folders with links to mods for Fallout 3 and New Vegas as I intend to go through them again this year.
