How separate are your fandom and in person lives?

Just what it says- how separate do you keep your online fandom life and offline personal life? Are you real-life friends with fandom friendslist?

Very separate. Those RL friends who know I'm in fandom know because they actually pulled me into fandom in high school; I have never and will never tell anyone else.

100% separate. I pretty much wouldn't post anything online that wasn't anonymous or pseudonymous. There are times when I think that might be an outgrowth of my anxiety issues, but who knows, really?

Anything that's gen (PG13 for violence and swear words, absolutely no romantic relationships whatsoever, no hugs or even handholding), I miiiiight share with my siblings and friends, if I know for certain they like the series. But the former don't really read (a tragedy, I know), and the latter tend to write much better than me (the ones that actively read anyways) so oftentimes that stuff isn't even read.

I think people are vaguely aware I write fanfic and are likely vaguely aware of how sinful fanfic can get, but I'm reasonably certain they don't know I once wrote incest between brothers (both of which were dead) involving a dog and peanut butter and I'd like to keep it that way.

My partner is vaguely aware I write weird fetishes but only insofar as I reassure them I have no intent of overlapping with real life, hahaha.

Pretty separate. I've met some of my fandom friends IRL and we had a blast, but I don't tell my family or IRL friends about my fanfiction, my LJ (back when I had one) or where I hang out online.

100% separate. They do not cross lines.

97% percent separate. Hubby knows and approves (and points out slashy moments I miss, bless him). A few close RL friends suspect, but as they laugh and don't ask I let them do that. If someone did outright ask I think I would confess, but not immediately point them towards my most taboo-centric fanworks. I haven't met any of my old flisters in RL, but that's because I have gotten cold feet when I have had the chance.

Pretty separate. I mean, my friends all know I roleplay and am into fandom and geekery and shit, but my main group of friends aren't into that at all and my other group of friends and I don't tend to mix fandoms (we'll watch TV shows together, play DnD and stuff).

I do have some fandom friends who I've met IRL and I've got a few close roleplaying buddies who are on my Facebook, and if (most of) my real life friends expressed an interest in doing fandomy things with me I'd be more than happy to do that stuff with them too.
