I want to finish making the bingo cards using Adinkra symbols that I'm doing for African Heritage Month (it's officially called that here, not Black History Month) at work (elementary school). We try to do some sort of contest each year--so this year I got crazy and decided to do this. I've got the card template made and the symbol images, I just need to label them and then actually put them into the template to make the cards. I also have to collate the information about the symbols for the classroom teachers, so they can explain them to the kids if they'd like to. With the amount of work that's going into this, we'll be doing a bingo for the next couple years, I think. I've had to arrange it so only two cards will win--but the cards will be randomly assigned to classes so I won't be choosing who wins, specifically.

I also need to create a logo for our school's new diversity club that will be starting in February. I volunteered for it since of the four staff involved, I'm the only one who could make something that didn't involve using MS Word and clip art. (Seriously, our principal made our new school wide logo using word and clip art...it's really not as good as she thinks it is). I enjoy doing graphics, so it'll be fun.

I'll probably end up going to my parents place at some point as my mum's comp crashed the other week and she had to send it to be fixed. Of course not all of her stuff was put back on it and she wants to download books from the public library to her Kobo e-reader and all that is now gone. Also have to go to the library tomorrow and pick up a couple items I have on hold.

That sounds fun. Are you a librarian? I seem to recall that being your job. Regardless, sounds like a busy weekend!
