(Anonymous) 2016-01-09 04:38 am (UTC)(link)Really, you guys have it even harder than someone like me who specialized in something in college. Because you have to know SO FUCKING MUCH. Hell, you guys even have to make recommendations to your clients!

I feel like college is equally hard, just in a different way? But yeah, we have to constantly be learning because cosmetology changes basically every week, we have to always be up on new trends and new science, and be able to talk to clients because let's be real, I did NOT realize how much non-stylists don't know until I went to beauty school. I shudder when I think of what my hair used to look like, and I don't even particularly care about my own appearance (I prefer working on other people).
