Kylo Ren is a pretty interesting villain. There are definitely parts that are meant to be taken as comedic, like when he's slashing things with his light saber and the storm troopers just walk away. Since he's Han and Leia's son and Leia believes he still has good in him, I don't think he's supposed to be seen as a total monster.

I appreciate how this movie can have a villain and not make him this totally serious and flawless badass. He comes off like a kid with daddy issues and throwing a tantrum most of the time, but also has this great power that makes him a threat.
