Steve/Tony (MCU, and although I know their interactions are different in 616 I'm starting to kinda hate it too because of it's popularity), Zoro/Sanji (One Piece), and Shizuo/Izaya (Durarara!!).

ARGUING DOES NOT INSTANTLY EQUAL BELLIGERENT SEXUAL TENSION, DAMN IT LEARN HOW TO TELL THE MOTHERFUCKING DIFFERENCE

It's my most hated trope for pairings.

Oh wow I came on here to say ZoSan, feeling painfully certain that no one else would agree. XD;

I loathe that pairing and the arguing=ust trope so much. It's not even like it's friendly bickering. They just seem to come from two completely different perspectives so they can't help but dislike each other. They might respect and trust each other's fighting ability, but I don't think they're even friends except for as far as their bond as Straw Hat Pirates goes.

Yeah, I hated Shizaya too. My biggest problem is that it just can't be done realistically. Like, I honestly think most pairings can be written in a realistic way, but shizaya just cannot. You would definitely have to like alter their personalities to some extreme degree. I love Izaya, but he's such a dipshit. Why would Shizuo ever want anything to do with him in a romantic/sexual way?

The fact that it's so unrealistic has led the fandom to write fics where something super terrible happens to Izaya, like getting raped so he's "redeemed" and learns the "error of his ways" and then Shizuo can "comfort" him or some shit.
