11. First off, the quotes made me lol. Thank you for that. XD

Second, I totally agree. Apparently people forget the whole "and she was virtuous" bit. Really, how can you BASH Lucy? Her husband, the love of her life who would do anything for her, was deported on a false charge, and she was raped by the person who deported him, and later went insane over a failed suicide attempt. Feel BAD for her, don't BASH her. T__T

And even though Mrs. Lovett was obviously jealous of her, personally, I like to think they were somewhat friends. :X I mean, she DID let her live there even after Sweeney was deported. If she hated her as much as some people think she did, she would've just dumped her off on the streets.

73. Well, I've never done that, but I sometimes wonder if that's what Byakuya smells like when I use it. >_> Mmm, definitely one of my favorite scents from Bath and Body Works.

Agreed. I don't know if "friends" is the right word, but while Mrs. Lovett obviously resented Lucy deeply, I never got the feeling that she hated her. I don't think she was lying about trying to stop her from taking the poison either.

Also, your icon makes me melt. Why does such a decidedly un-fluffy pairing have that effect on me?

"Aquaintences" would probably work much better. And really, I don't see how so many people thought she hated her. True, she said "How could that thing have cared for you like me?", but she was talking about beggar!Lucy. :\ And yeah, I didn't think she was lying either.

I don't know! No matter how messed up it is, it can still be viewed as "cute", depending on the situation~

And that one's even better/worse!

Curse you and your deceptively fluffy icons! They're making me wibble.

What can I say, I love the cute icons. ;D

...And now I'm staring at your icon page.

The "Foreplay!" one made me laugh, because, come on, we were all thinking that. And I think we were supposed to be thinking that. The way that it was directed, it doesn't look even remotely believable as an act of violence. I mean, look at it. (http://youtube.com/watch?v=V1qllg5SM5s) He guides her to the chair with a hand on her skin, then lightly taps her and she falls. You can see he's barely touching her. Then, perhaps even more inexplicably, she slides down into his blade instead of trying to pull away. The only context in which any of this makes sense is not the context in which that scene is given to us.

Yeah. And let's not forget in A Little Priest, he held a meat cleaver to her neck. And she didn't seem to mind there either.

See, this is one of the many advantages of them getting YOUNGER people to play them. *glares at the Broadway Elitists* I doubt it'd be anywhere near as hot if they got the originals to do that. In fact.... it'd actually be kind of creepy and I'd rather not think about that.

Didn't mind? She seemed delighted. (I wanted to link to a cap to illustrate, but I can't find one!)

Oh, agreed. I have absolutely no objections to the prettification of Mr. Todd and Mrs. Lovett. After all, it's not as though their appearance is crucial to the plot, to the point that changing it jeopardizes the integrity of the story. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Phantom_of_the_Opera_%282004_film%29) *cough*

Hm. Delighted is one word to describe it~ ((Here (http://userpic.livejournal.com/69621650/14531718)! Not a screencap, but an icon is just as good, Y/N? Her expression totally screams "oh do me now, Mr. T"))

*snort* Yeah, appearance hardly matters. Though for some reason, revival!Sweeney irked me. It just seems weird that he was.... bald. I mean, give the guy a wig and he'd be pretty hot, but bald guys and most guys in general just don't do it for me.

Y. Thank you! (And, yes, she looks as though she's about to pounce on him.)

The idea of a bald barber seems very strange to me.

Salute!

Hey, it's canon that Sweeney should be pretty. "And he was beautiful..." people.

It makes way more sense for him to be early forties than early fifties, too. He had an incredibly gorgeous wife and year-old baby, given movie canon he would have been twenty-seven and only just starting his family.

I mean, considering their class level and the period, even Johnny Depp might be a bit old for the role (he looks younger than he is, though, so it's all good).

Mrs. Lovett and Sweeney Todd are perfect for each other and I believe they did have a twisted love thing. I don't understand how people can bash Lucy either because we don't really even know her!
I agree with the casting too. Sweeney is supposed to be good-looking, it says so in the lyrics. I liked attractive!Lovett better too.
