Yaoicon is the best fucking convention I have ever been to, and I don't even like yaoi. The atmosphere is great, the people who run it are friendly, and everyone has an utterly horrible sense of black humour.
There are also loads of hot men.

10. I'd definitely say Yaoicon is worth it, but more so if you already live close to San Francisco. It's one of my favorite conventions because the atmosphere is just so laid back and fun, and (while I feel bad saying this because I know plenty of sane under-18 congoers) banning the under-18s really makes it a lot better.

31. I've actually had that happen to me once. I'm a cosplayer, and someone who I didn't even know recognized me while I was at work. It was slightly creepy but on the whole, kind of fun. It's not as bad as you'd think.

25 - ...........Let's just say I have a friend who was raped (rather horrid situation) and they still read rape!fic. Rape!fic, like blood play, or any other kink, is a fantasy that some people find arousing. Sure, it may not be arousing when it actually happens, but the fantastical/romanticized rape that tends to happen in writing can be a turn on. And, for the record, people react to traumatic situations like that differently.
