OH GOD AX. AX IS A CON WHERE YOU STAND AROUND IN LINES OUT IN THE BLAZING SUN.
It sucks. And it's huge and I just don't like it. I prefer smaller cons where you can connect with people. But I guess that's just me?
And AX this year is gonna be in downtown LA so now instead of LineCon it's YouGonnaGetShankedCon.

The 18+ thing with Y-con is nice because it knocks out the majority of the obnoxious fangirls. I was at one con where a bunch of Kingdom Hearts fangirls (notoriously bad. :<) were screaming something fierce. It was in the city, and my friends and I got tired of it and so we just left and went elsewhere, as there were other places to entertain ourselves without having to listen to them.

xD That seems like a daily routine though, especially in the summer time. But yeah, the large size of it unnerves me a little. I'd probably flip out or have some kind of anxiety attack with all the crowds. Ah ha ha... ha. I'm not that concerned about the location though, since I've been to LA before and have been in rather "shady" locations *cough*likemycurrentneighborhood*coughhack*). I CAN HANDLE MYSELF. I'M TOUGH. ಠ_ಠ

But yay, no underage b&. Their fan-spazzing bugs me the most. I'm turning into a rather cranky adult. ~~GET OUT OF MY FANDOM, YOU DAMN KIDS. >:U~~

So many options~. I'll have to look into all these cons and figure out if I'll have any available free time and expenses, though Fanime does look the best just because by then I will have finished up spring term by then and it'd be a great way to celebrate the occasion. \o/

It's just a huge mass of people and heat and augh. Adding unsafe locations to the mix is very do not want. And if you cosplay on top of it all, it just sucks even more.

Yes. The loud fangirl noises really piss me off. :< In all honesty, if they're loud and annoying, I'm a total douchebag to them.

GO TO FANIME. It's a mid sized (I bet it'll hit 10k people this year?) people, it doesn't get too hot and uh, I'LL BE THERE DESU. So we can hang. And talk Kaiji and NeuroGodai and be total retards together. Which is all that you do at a con: BE A RETARD.
I've been to so many cons that I don't go to much programming anymore unless it really catches my eye (although xel_ko and I were going to try to set up a restricted rock paper scissors event at Fanime) and only browse the dealer's hall. I'm just in it for all of the good friends I've made and for the occasional really good masquerade skit/to perform in the masquerade.

Seconding the Fanime love! Fanime and YaoiCon are my definitely my favorite conventions, though I do attend AX every year, too ~~mostly for the awesome guests because I'm one of those weird people who actually goes to panels when there are good ones~~.

Having been to 40+ conventions, all of which I enjoyed, Fanime and YaoiCon are definitely the two that stand out as being absolutely, utterly amazing. I urge everyone to check them out.
