Usually the answer to not noticing details is to slow down. It means I'm trying to do too much at once and not giving myself time to process things the entire way.

Normally I'm extremely detail oriented, and the kinds of comments I get on my work are "meticulous" and "methodical". It's how I'm wired though, so ymmv.
