Shin Sekai Yori? Anybody care to summarize this for me? I can't say I've heard of it.

Also called From the New World. Apparently, it's one of those high-concept sci-fi anime that try to make you feel guilty for the continued existence of the human race. I only know it because it showed up in AMV Hell.

It's probably too much to hope for that that's a Dvorak reference.

According to TV Tropes, the first episode begins with the New World Symphony playing while children with psychic powers make people's heads explode. I'm not even going to try to evaluate that.

It is! They use the reference too!

I may actually have to take a look.

You should give it a shot! It's a little out there, but it's definitely one of the better anime to come out in the past decade. I ended up marathoning it haha.

Nah, it's more about seeing how people cope in a shitty situation and how most everyone has reason to their actions.

I thought it celebrated humanity more, honestly.

Maybe watch things before you summarize them.

I won't knock it if you want me not to, but there's no way in hell I'm watching it. Just skimming the TV Tropes pages hits all of my hardest squicks.

It's fine that you don't want to watch it, but don't rag on something you've heard about second hand.

I was really surprised by it. I liked it a lot. It was weird and pretty cool.
