Stuff that I always want in fics:

ICness, unless it makes sense for the characters to be OOC.

If you're character has a mental illness/substance abuse problem, make it at least semi-realistic.

Semi-realistic sex. You know, the kind that's a little awkward, little silly, doesn't go according to plan, but both people still have a good time (or maybe not)? Yeah, that kind.

Readable. At least run the fic through a spellchecker before posting it.

Stuff that varies from mood to mood:

Hurt/comfort, preferably with an emphasis on the comfort/healing/recovering part.

Angst, pining after someone, one sided crushes.

Crack that's actually funny. Random, sugar high and full of unexplained in-jokes that are only funny to you/your friends is a big no go for me.

Power imbalance in relationships (Master/slave, Teacher/Student, Boss/Employee, etc.)

Sappy fluff. If it makes my teeth rot with it's sweetness, I'm all over it like an ant on sugar.

Death fics. If it makes me cry and/or feel like I lost a friend, it did it's job.
