At the most basic level:
--Really good grammar, spelling, word choice/usage, syntax, etc. Too many can be very distracting.
--Spaces between paragraphs
--Characters doing what they'd really do or say, regardless of how weird/crazy/different the plot of the fic may be. If Bob is talking to a dog, Bob needs to react in a way that would flow with the show that does not include talking dogs.

Sweetening the deal:
--Porn with feelings
--Plausible, even if tenuous reason(s) stated for the pairing getting together. I need to know why this will work, especially if the show/movie doesn't put them together a lot.
--Pacing

I shouldn't even have to say it:
--No character bashing
--No ship bashing
--Tag triggers, even if I don't have the trigger because someone else might
--Give your fic a rating and a summary that isn't just "please reed; it's gud mybe"

Bonuses:
--Tropes I like with pairings I love
--Excellent dialogue means more to me than setting/scene description. I'm super lenient about settings/scenes location.
--Well-written, in-character sex scenes
