I think he wants to die before he can wrap it up, that is why he keeps skipping deadlines. He's doing it on purpose to troll us! I bet he doesn't leave an emergency plot plan either, on purpose. He'll be at the great writer's panel in the sky, nudging Jordan and Adams, looking down on all of us and going "hey, guys look at this" as we collectively lose our shit at never knowing how it ends.
