Guys sexuality has always had a kind of gross fetishistic patina to it it doesn't matter if you're trans, a straight woman, a gay man, or a bi anything, male attention usually comes from the darkest most twisted places if human desire. Yes it is absolutely a double standard, but it is also more often than not a truth.

Uh, no, or else slash fiction wouldn't be so damn rapey. Women can be just as sick.

Slash fic being women parodying male sexuality? Yeah, its rapey for a reason and it's not because women are violent abusers.

What makes you think that women writing & reading slash fic are primarily motivated by a desire to imitate male sexuality?

That seems... extremely unlikely to say the least.

I'm not sure I agree. Would you mind expanding on your thoughts here? And particularly the roots or origin or cause of this phenomenon as you see it?

The roots and origins come from knowing men, tbh. Honestly look up porn for men and compare it to porn for women. You'll see the worst kinds of sexuality expressed in the porn for men, and the most positive sides in the porn for women. Hell, just look at James Deen, he has been universally acknowledged as the most pro-woman, pro feminist, decent guy in porn and it turns out quelle surprise he's a fucking rapist and violent abuser.

Well, my issue with that argument is that it seems to start with a bunch of things that, are, basically, specific and individual - with the way that specific men behave, with specific trends in pornography at a specific moment - and it uses them as a basis for a generalized judgment.

What do you see as the connection between those things? What do you think of as the justification for that kind of generalization?
