Fictional Characters

Who are the fictional characters you identify most closely with? What characters would you *like* to be compared to? I'm curious.

I think of myself as halfway between Sawako Kuronuma (awkwardly cute, horribly shy, vaguely autistic) and Mari Illustrious Makinami (kind of obnoxious, smells random stuff, we have the same glasses).

One of the characters I relate to most is Fanny Price from Mansfield Park. I get compared to Hermione Granger a lot and I can see why.

I don't know who I'd want to be compared to. I feel like there should be some that come to mind but I just don't know.

Hermione. Hermione. But I'm not as brave as her.

I'm a cross between Hermione and Harry. I see bits of myself in Dean Winchester and Willow Rosenberg.

Most identify with? Bilbo. I don't want to go out on adventures. I want to stay in my comfy homes. But sometimes I have to go out to save the day (even saving is a minor thing).

I don't know who I'd like to be compared to!

For me it's Kaiki deishu: Intelligent, nihilistic, and with a wicked sense of humor.

Eh, that's hard? Because they have facets that are similar but they're so different in other ways? And live in very different worlds.

Like the characters I'm supposed to identify with (like nerdy girls into fandom) do very little for me identification wise in reality, really.

Like the way everyone and their dog self-inserts as Darcy Lewis and I just don't connect to her.

I used to think I had quite some bits in common with both Claire and Brenda in Six Feet Under (especially Claire's art school experience, so many parts of that were so recognizable, and as for Brenda I'll cheer on anyone who barks at therapists. I regret not ever doing that lol).

*points to icon* I have a few weird overlaps with Bucky (more so the comic version), but we're very different people in other ways, and he's WAY more competent than me.

I'd *like* to have Steve Rogers' moral standards but I'm not quite there lol.

Squidward is my spirit animal.

Who I would LIKE to be my spirit animal: Brienne of Tarth.

Grantaire from Les Mis, for mixed reasons (I also cosplay him so I do tend to get compared to him by people I know.)

Idk who I would want to be compared too? I have a shaky sense of self as it is so idk

Dimple from Born Confused. I first read the book as a kid and a lot of it went over my head, but I related a lot to her identity struggle and issues with her parents. Same with Joan from The Star Fisher, especially the stuff that happens when you're bilingual and caught in the middle of a fight where you have to translate.

I dunno about being compared to. I used to want people to compare me to Sara Crewe from A Little Princess. I guess I wanted to be seen as someone who was nice and sweet and went out of her way to help others.

625 from Lilo and Stitch because I'm lazy and sit around eating sandwiches all day.

I don't have any characters I'd like to be compared to.

Grunkle Stan. Inside of this young body is a gross old man.

Dr. Alphys (awkward female weeaboo nerd with anxiety/depression issues who has trouble making friends and a lot of people find annoying)

I'm ok with it, though.

Half House half Pinkie Pie, and yes, I'm aware of how crazy this makes me sound.
