I'm not comfortable watching my idols die. And it's only going to get worse. I never got another pet after my dog died 3 years ago. I feel like not being a fan of anything is a solution, but I can't see that necessarily happening. Ugh.

I'm sorry for your sense of loss and grief, anon, but don't cut yourself off from enjoying life or the legacy of your idols. They made movies, music, stories, and other media out of love of their art. Just because they die doesn't mean that we who loved their work while they lived should abandon it now that they have left the stage.
