Bi ladies are just more convenient for writers I guess. If they break up you can always hook them up with a straight character and you don't have to introduce a new lesbian.

Another bi here and I personally think it's really good. There's been years and years of lesbian romances and lesbian movies, but not so much on the bi stories. You often have to go into erotica/threesomes to get anything bi, whereas lesbians have this whole canon going back well into the 60s.

Now if they'd only start bringing in more trans women, we'd get more of identities that haven't really been represented in LGBT spaces much at all.

I'm not bitter about stories for lesbians written by lesbians being filled with (gasp) lesbians or whatever, though the cis white lesbian narrative is pretty overwhelming and hard to avoid. Sometimes I just wanna read about bi POC trans women in a relationship, and historically lesbian romances didn't give you that at all.
