Well, the guy was a jerk, but . . . I dunno, that's such a strange reaction to someone saying they're asexual. I get that people would be shocked or confused, but outright disgusted? It could happen, yeah, but I just find it hard to believe.

I get people being surprised, confused, or skeptical. not disgusted. After all, chastity has been considered a virtue not only in the West but throughout the world for like thousands of years.
