Just sharing this beauty of a webcomic with you guys

(it's about asexuality and it's really short.)

It's so hard for me to take this seriously. Even with the nice art, it looks like it was written by a 13 year old emo kid.

Not to belittle anyone's problems but this style is just so 3edgy5me.

Same. As someone who if forced to choose any sort of sexual label would probably have to go with asexual, it seems very... NO ONE UNDERSTAAAANDS MEEEEEE.

Asexual pride rings are a thing, at least in the corners of the asexual community I've been in. Can't speak to the rest.

This. I've had, "Oh... what does that mean exactly?" and "Are you sure?" and surprised, "Not at all?" But I've never had anyone be more than honestly confused, never rude or ~storming off~ in disgust.

This has bee my experience as well. I've also gotten the "But you can't be asexual! You make a lot of sex jokes/feel comfortable with sex/etc!" from friends.

...I thought you said once that you were gay. Oops. Sorry (for...thinking wrong).

My thought was maybe he had a crush on her and that's why he reacted so strongly, acting as if he were implicitly being rejected.

The Asexual ring is a thing, but not everyone knows/adheres to it, and it's really just worn as a personal symbol. It's a black band that is worn on the right middle finger...I want to get one for myself eventually :p

I've heard all that, too, with added, 'omg you're such a prude/lying/you're just ugly and need an excuse' stuff.

I'll submit one as well. It's part of a larger story, but I read these few strips before reading anything else. Pages 1267 to 1270: http://www.missmab.com/Comics/Vol_1267.php

That one was good.

Well, the guy was a jerk, but . . . I dunno, that's such a strange reaction to someone saying they're asexual. I get that people would be shocked or confused, but outright disgusted? It could happen, yeah, but I just find it hard to believe.

I like the art, but gotta agree with people here that the story has not been something I've personally experienced. Or at least not in such a dramatic way.

When I came out to friends, they where in shock because like I said up there, I tend to crack a lot of sex jokes and feel comfortable talking and joking about sex. I also got this from a therapist who said that it was not possible for me not to feel desire for someone else because it didn't really "fit". These days whenever someone asks me out or shows any interest in me, I tell them I'm not interested in dating but it becomes annoying when they try to press the matter or try to guilt-trip me into dating them. It sucks and that only makes me distance myself from them.

Ah, sorry this became a bit of a rant. Still very nice comic.

The cursive handwriting meant I stopped reading after the grandmother one. Cursive hurts my head.

Nice art and I like the "theme" they're going with the writing on the face. Can someone let me know how it ends? I want to know what the red writing does.

asexuals are so desperate to be oppressed

Re: Just sharing this beauty of a webcomic with you guys

It's very pretty.

...

But also very preachy. Bigotry is just not that balls-out. This reads like it was written by a teenager who's "So misunderstood, No-one understands my pain and I am all alone and hated!" I get feeling like that, but real bigots just don't act like they do in the heads of these teenagers. People say "Get this shot you might regret not getting it in the future" and they here "You're stupid and wrong and you need to do what you're told!"

But yes very very pretty artwork.
