(Anonymous) 2016-01-17 12:39 am (UTC)(link)Neither of them really acts rationally after Chara and Asriel die. Asgore gets angry and wants to fight back, and then is trapped by that decision. Toriel is so unwilling to fight that rather than fighting to make Asgore stop, she abandons him and the Underground entirely. Keep in mind he was genuinely angry and wanted vengeance in the beginning, so Toriel trying to stop him by force would likely have been... a lot more violent than what we saw in the pacifist ending with a hopeless, guilt-ridden Asgore.

I have a lot of feelings about Toriel, and the morality of her actions tbh. |D
