That's absolutely her flaw, and it comes from losing two children in the span of 24 hours. It hurts, having lost people in my life, because it's realistic to me. She's trying desperately to find what she lost.

That and Toby's absolutely playing to RPG stereotypes to make you expect a twist of untrustworthiness. Congrats, you not only fell for it, you didn't learn from it.
