Same on the stories about professional women -- I read a few stories like that and got hooked, then couldn't find any more.

Hoping this turns into a yuri rec thread tbh.

Have you read any Morishima Akiko? She's about the only f/f mangaka I know that does anything past high school. Which is SO annoying, considering the HS era ones are often chock full of "innocent girl love" tropes and the implication that they'll grow out of it. :/

Majority of her works are HERE and HERE BTW :)

not OP but I like her and Amano Shuninta http://dynasty-scans.com/authors/amano_shuninta

Ooh, I'll have to check her out. Thank you for sharing!

It's usually schoolgirls, at least in Japan, because it's "acceptable" for two girls to be that close because "they'll grow out of it."

I often use the rec lists on https://yurination.wordpress.com/ bc they give long enough summaries of the show/manga to know if it's worth the time.

Mentioned this a few days ago in GC, but gonna add in here the largely yuri-focused Dynasty Reader (mentioned a few posts above) has tags for "Adult life", "Office lady", "College", and "Non-moe art", which help cut down on the HS/super-moe stuff.

God bless you, nonny. Thank you for posting this!

iirc the series Bloom Into You/Eventually, I Will Become Yours by Nakatani Nio is pretty slow-burn. Character design looks a little standard, but it's not super-crazy-moe and the story sidesteps some cliches with both rather straightforward main characters trying to figure out what love or romance means to them (one could be interpreted as asexual in the translated chapters so far, imo).

Tonari no Robot by Nishi Uko is also relatively slow-moving, but this is one-sided between a girl and an android (who nonetheless shows an unexpected bias towards the girl).

sa -- Oh yeah, and manhwa Fluttering Feelings by Ssamba. Slooooooooow burn, 18 chapters and so far, one of the characters has just breached the "what is this feeling???" wall.

Try the works of Yamaji Ebine

For yuri about professional working women, check out What Does the Fox Say? Dynasty Scans has the first chapter up and links to where you can read the rest of it.

I've recently discovered Naoko Kodama, one of her one-shots is about a mangaka and her editor. It might be your cup of tea.
