Hux/Kylo has become my obsession, it is currently my third favorite ship after my two OTPs from my main fandom. I've been devouring fics. To the point that I stayed up half the night a couple nights ago reading everything I could get my hands on.

I like that it is more active than my main OTPs, but at the same time this means there is more badfic to slog through to find the good stuff. Still, I'm relatively pleased with the ratio of good fic to bad fic.

And I'm starting to develop clear headcanons for these two.

That's really interesting (especially since I don't feel like Hux was that well-developed) - what appeals about it to you?

Well, I tend to gravitate towards villain ships in general. And I like the dynamics of it, or at least my headcanon dynamics. They seem very contrasted to me. Kylo was inexperienced and emotional and out of control. Hux was controlled and pretty unemotional and the one with more experience even though they aren't that far apart in age. So I like imagining how that would play out in private in a relationship or just in the bedroom.

I see Kylo as wanting to be in control of himself but also very much craving being controlled. And I think he would both crave praise and approval and also be self loathing enough to crave the opposite.

And while I don't think Hux actually likes Kylo, I could see him being very much into the idea of teaching Kylo self control. And also enjoying seeing Kylo's weaknesses and being the one to give Kylo what he craves.

I don't think it could ever be a particularly healthy relationship, but I think it could be really interesting.

Saaaame I'm obsessed! Talk to me about Hux/Kylo. I'm not on tumblr so I don't have anyone else to fan with.

Something about the pairing I just like. I am surprised about the ratio of good fic to bad so far. And there's a refreshing lack of shitty AUs. (For now.)

Although the other day I stumbled across a truly godawful songfic with both of them acting like teenage girls. (Well, one of them, Kylo already acts like a teenage girl lbr.)

I just love them so much. I'm not even sure. I started out multi-shipping but I pretty much just ship them now. Yes, the fic ratio is pretty good so far, though there are some pretty awful ones. And I love all the different takes on the relationship. There are the hate sex fics, but there is so much more than that. I love how people have taken these two characters and expanded them in interesting ways.

I read a fic the other day that was about Hux's father, and it was really dark. It made me curious about where people are getting the extra info from - is it all headcanon, or is some of it from extra material?

There is a bit of expansion of him in the Force Awakens novelization. Most of it is headcanon, though.
